Donald Trump Understood His Assignment (Plead The 5th)!!

Donald Trump is a man who brings a great deal of debate. Throughout his career, there have always been two sides to the coin — people either loved him or hated him. They cheered for him or they cheered against him. There was never a consensus on how he was seen by the people of America and all over the world.

While he is a debatable personality, recent events have revealed something that's not debatable when it comes to Mr. Trump — he understood the assignment.

Donald Trump Pleading His Fifth Amendment Right Against Self-Incrimination

In a recent deposition with the New York Attorney General Letitia James, the former President knew exactly what he needed to do to protect himself. He invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination not once, not twice, but over 440 times!

What It Meant for Him to Plead His Fifth Amendment Right

In pleading his Fifth Amendment right over 440 times, it shows that Donald Trump fully understood his assignment.

He knew that it was not in his interest to play nice, help the authorities, or look a certain way to maintain ties with the government. He understood that his only assignment was to make sure he exercised his right against self-incrimination.

In other words, the role he had to play during the deposition was to make sure he was not pressured or prodded into making statements that would be used against him in a court of law. He was extremely disciplined and exercised his Fifth Amendment right flawlessly.

His understanding of how to protect himself in the legal arena was not debatable. He was well aware that the only thing he needed to concern himself about was not saying anything that may be used to punish or prosecute him one day.

Former President Donald Trump understood his assignment — and everyone has a lot to learn from his example.
